Henri Selmer mk VII Alto - Serial Number 295xxx
These are the killer horns to have. VII is one number above those old used
VIs. Okay, VIs were more coveted but this was my first Pro horn which
replaced my original H Couf Royalist II student horn. I bought it even
though there were still available VIs and Super Action 80s because VII is bigger
than VI right?
My horn would be 99.9% original lacquer if it wasn't for the inside part of the
bell. I always kept my leg over the edge of the chair and the horn rubbed
against my leg (and not the chair) and removed a large oval section of lacquer.
Other than that the horn is near perfect. Very fluid and buttery smooth
key action.

The late model mk VII alto had no engraving on the bell. Single screw adjustable Plastic thumbrest
The RH Table keys are very manageable. The early model horns had very very wide table keys. If you have small hands the early models are very difficult to adjust to playing. The table keys here are only slightly wider than todays table keys. Though they could have modified the mechanisms a bit for the less leverage that these table keys provide.
